Organization is Key

I decided to speak about organization today, there are so many websites that have to much content crammed into small unorganized spaces. Think about yourself when surfing the web, when you look for information what steps do you take to get to the information? Would you rather go through hoops? Would you rather be directed through a maze before finally reaching the content? Think about that, visitors who arrive at your site don't end up there by chance normally they are searching for content. The best way to loose visitors is to send them on a wild goose chase for the content. Keep that in mind when creating your site.

One of the most common complaints I hear from people who are looking for information on the web is once they find the site that has what they are looking for they have to jump through hoops to get it, another words the site owners make it difficult for visitors to find specific content, remember you have approximately 30 seconds to keep that visitor at your site, don't blow it by displaying irrelevant content. Your site should initially display the content that is specific to your niche so to speak, sure you can have other content, just be sure to make it easy for your visitors to find what they came to your site for.

Tips on Landing Pages

As for the content of your pages, beginning with the landing page or home page.
The page should lead a visitor to the logical finish – conversion – so placing all important information in the middle of the page in one column is a smart move. Divide the content into small blocks to allow room to read so to speak, to much content will overwelm and turn away potential visitors.

Robots.txt file, what is it's purpose?

Hello again,

Today I am talking about the robots.txt file and why it is necessary to include in your site files. The robots.txt file is a directionary file in which it directs or tells search engines what to include in their site crawls and what to exclude. For instance, you really do not need the search engines to crawl or include the names of your image files in their results, in this case you would use the robots.txt file to specifically exclude the directory from being crawled by the search engines.

Hopefully this helps add a bit more information regarding how the search engines work.

Hi to all,

Content is king and knowledge is power, keep this in mind when writing, don't beat around the bush, get to the point.

There is nothing worse than information that does not get the message across in a timely manner. Think about how you would write about a subject without running off with irrelevant points that are totally unrelated to the subject matter, annoying to say the least. I don't know about you but time is precious (especially as we get older) so by all means don't waste it!

Today I thought I would touch upon a Niche and what it's all about.
Well most of you may have heard of a niche, but some of you may not understand exactly what that means. A niche is a specialized field, think of organizing a file cabinet. You may start with alphabetizing , but what happens when you come down to the Insurance file. There are several kinds of insurance, to focus further, how about Auto Insurance, that would be a niche for Insurance, tone it down even further and you may have Classic Auto Insurance. The Internet is best served for those with Niches, not to say you won't be successful if you are in the sea of fishes full of general Insurance so to speak, with the Internet, having a niche gives you the edge, but you must know how to Market it.
